Description
Santiago de Cuba is the second biggest city of Cuba. It
is located in a bay, on the base of the spectacular Sierra
Maestra, and is well known as the most exotic Caribbean
city of Cuba. Here, the students lodge in family houses
and take small groups classes with a maximum of 3 students.
The classes take place in the professor’s house,
hostels or a Cultural Center.
Lodging
All the families that provide accommodation to the students
live in a calm residential district on Santiago de Cuba
called Reparto Sueño, located near the historical
old city. Many rooms have air conditioned and some have
also private bathrooms. Nevertheless, most of the rooms
have basic comfort.
Academics
The offered courses include different modalities: standard
(15 classes per week), intensive (20 classes per week),
intensive (25 classes per week), super intensive (30 classes
per week), Spanish and dance (salsa, mambo, etc.), Spanish
and music (guitar, drum, trumpet). The groups do not exceed
the three students. Each class last 50 minutes.
Activities
Salsa, mambo and rumba classes are offered. There are
optional trips to a tobacco factory, a mango farm, the
Rum Museum and strolls by the beach.
