don Quijote Havana

  Description
Besides the colorful center, the "Beaches of the East" and the famous Malecon (an immense boulevard considered the living-room of Havana) tourists should visit Vedado, where the host families live, and where can be found art deco buildings that would be considered national monuments in many other countries. The classes take place either in the professor house, the host family house or -in case of a small group class- in one of the cultural centers. Don Quijote works with his Cuban partner, UNEAC, one of the greater organizations in the island in the culture area.

Lodging
The school recommends lodging in family houses. The families chosen as hosts live in big houses in a city residential district. Although it is a quite zone, there is some bars and discotheques. The families offer single or double rooms with half board.

Academics
There are three basic courses: language, language and dance and language and music. The language courses can be individual or in small groups. The combined courses of language and dance include salsa classes, mambo, rumba and son. In the music courses the student can choose between percussion and guitar.
